Challenge
The vacation cabin rental market is dominated by Booking.com and Airbnb. Commissions (15–20%) erode independent owners’ margins, and the direct channel is the only path to 0% commission and full brand control. But ready-made tools (Cal.com, Calendly) do not cover the specifics: multi-night availability with seasonal rules, variable pricing, check-in deposits, automated guest communication, cleaning management between bookings.
Approach
Custom platform on Next.js + Stripe + email automation. Live availability calendar with high-season / low-season rules, per-night or per-period pricing, configurable deposit, automatic Stripe refunds when the cancellation policy allows. Automated emails at each step (confirmation → 7-day reminder → check-in → check-out + feedback). Clean admin panel designed for the owner, not for the developer.
Results
Platform live at azad.house, trilingual RO / EN / FR with validated hreflang — expanded beyond the initial bilingual plan for an international audience. Full XML sitemap indexed (~16 KB). CDN cache active at the Vercel edge (max-age 3600) on public pages. Robots.txt configured with /admin/ and /api/ protection. Booking flow live since launch, Stripe payments and email notifications operational. Rich schema — LodgingBusiness + ReserveAction + AggregateOffer + trilingual FAQPage — cited directly by AI search (Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity). Static llms.txt with quick facts, full amenities list, and nearby attractions.
